Shoals Marine Laboratory

Challenge: The laboratory is on an island off the Coast of New Hampshire. During the busy summer months boats carry tourists, students, staff, researchers, and day groups of many types. The scheduling and management of the boat passages and the courses was very time intensive.

Over years many high quality photographs had been accumulated, but little used.

Solution: Spider setup the project with a senior account representative, a programmer, and two designers. The many established rules for boat schedules and boat coordination required custom programming.

Results: The project was delivered on time and on budget.

Automation of management processes and tightly integrated online sale of boat tickets greatly eased work in thebusy months. Online information for visitors reduced staff time on phone and on email.
