Challenge: Sun Chevy needs to compete with highly-funded national vehicle sales websites and it needs a hosting service that can handle the thousands of shoppers who are driven to the website by infomercials.
Solution: Spider worked through several years with Sun Chevy to progressively move the website in response to growing usage from a shared server to a dedicated server to a set of redundant servers.
To handle hundreds of inquiries, hundreds of sales, and thousands of vehicle listings, Spider automated the vehicle data upload process passing data in realtime from the inventory systems and from hand-helds used on the vehicle lots.
Many customer features have been added to the website, such as, Tell-Me-When, Add-to-My-Notebook, and so forth.
