Wagner Vineyards

Challenge: Winery need intensive e-commerce websites and they need to be highly integrated with the Point of Sales system and other business systems. Spider Graphics is a leader in this specialty, coast-to-coast.

Spider has built and hosted the Wagner Vineyards website since 1995. As one of the regions largest and more operationally complex wineries Wagner's custom e-commerce development has often been the leading edge, or as some would say, the bleeding edge. Wanting to avoid that in this 2007 update Wagners considered packaged services from coast-to-coast, but finally chose Spider's new packaged system the Spider Winery System (SWS).

Solution: Still being a leader, Wagners did need some custom items on top of the SWS. Spider installed the standard version SWS 4.4. Allowed a few weeks for the Client to settle into using it and then added custom pieces.

Results: The system came online ahead of the tourist season with not nearly the amount of Client involvement needed in the earlier custom setups. Customization continues with a new element being added in a non-disruptive way every few weeks.
